Tala hua Gosht

Tala hua Gosht is a Hyderabadi dish which is nothing but, Mutton fry taken as a starter or eaten along with Dal and Rice.

Ingredients:

1/2 kg Bone/boneless Lamb

1 Onion (finely chopped)

1 tbsp Ginger paste & Garlic paste

2 tbsp Red Chili powder

1/2 tbsp Turmeric powder

1 tsp Garam Masala powder

Coriander leaves(finely chopped)

Mint leaves(finely chopped)

2 tbsp Lemon juice

Salt to taste

8 tbsp Oil

Preparation:-

In a large bowl , add the Mutton marinate with Ginger Garlic paste, Red Chili powder, Turmeric powder, Salt to taste, Garam Masala powder, Lemon juice and mix well (Pound the marinated Meat with Pestle.) Refrigerate it for 1-2 hours.

In a large non-stick Saucepan/Handi add Oil at medium flame,

add finely chopped Onion stir until tender and translucent,

then add Ginger Garlic paste, stir for few seconds,

Add Mutton pieces, stir fry till the Meat turns crispy brown on the outside.

Then leave it for low flame till the thin layer of Oil appears on the bottom surface.

Add Salt to taste(optional)

Do not cook on a high flame, simmer the flame then

add the Coriander leaves & Mint leaves cover it.

Remove from the heat.

Serve hot with Khatti-Dal & Pulkas

simple and easy.
